Ford Focus declared Used Car of the Year 2007
The second-generation Ford Focus has been named Used Car of the Year 2007, fans of the blue opal may be interested to know.The title was bestowed at the Auto Express and Glass's Guide used car awards ceremony, following analysis of data from more than 2,000 vehicles.
All models that have been available to buy new for more than 12 months were eligible for consideration and issues such as owner feedback, depreciation, reliability and whole-life costs were all taken into account by the judges.
"The second-generation Ford Focus has proved extremely popular as a new and used buy since its launch in 2004 and continues to among the most enjoyable cars to drive in its class," remarked Jeff Paterson, senior car editor at EurotaxGlass' and a member of the judging panel.
Meanwhile, the Focus was also named Best Compact Family Car at the same ceremony.
In related news, last month saw automotive journalist Claire Lumb praise the aesthetic attributes of the Focus CC.
Writing on Carkeys, Ms Lumb said that the model "looks classy" and caught the eye of several passers-by while she was test-driving it.
