New Ford Fiesta makes it debut

Ford has unveiled its new "fun-loving and stylish" five-door and three-door Fiestas at the Geneva Motor Show.

The revamped Ford car is due to hit British roads this autumn and boasts the 'kinetic design' philosophy that Ford has been using on all its later models.

Fiesta's new look is based on the Verve Concept and Ford are hoping the new image will help this Fiesta be as successful as its predecessor. 12 million models of the old Fiesta were sold since its introduction in 1976.

The company described the new addition to the Ford family as "major leap forward in terms of style, craftsmanship, quality of materials and model choice".

Ford is credited with producing the Model T or 'Tin Lizzy' as it is sometimes known which the second longest running car of all time.

The manufacturer is aiming to "become the world's leading company for automotive products and services", according to its website.
