Fiesta may appeal to the safety-conscious
People who put safety features first when buying a car may want to pay a visit to their nearest Ford dealership when the time comes to trade in their current motor.According to the manufacturer, the model's Electric Power Assist Steering (EPAS) offers added protection to its occupants.
The system is designed to compensate for any changes made to the car's handling as the result of general wear and tear.
Ford explained steering can be affected by hitting kerbs and potholes - and it stated this has previously been a source of irritation for motorists.
Professor Dr Pim van der Jagt from the company said: "Research tells us that drivers can be irritated by minor pulling or drifting on their vehicle."
With EPAS motorists should not encounter these problems, as the car automatically corrects any changes.
Meanwhile, Ford recently reported its latest Fiesta and Ka models are proving popular with used vehicle buyers.
