Award 'should increase traffic at Ford dealerships'
A recent award should encourage more drivers into Ford dealerships up and down the country, it has been claimed.Managing director of the manufacturer Nigel Sharp made this comment after the model drove away with the title of best new model 2009 from Auto Express.
He stated: "The endorsement of the motor industry's most independent critics - journalists - is exceptionally rewarding and helps us to keep the new Fiesta in the minds of the UK's car buyers."
Editor-in-chief at Auto Express David Johns said even though the judges had high expectations of the vehicle, it had not disappointed.
He went on to praise the model's "sleek exterior" and "cutting-edge cabin", claiming the car is a joy to drive.
In other news, the manufacturer recently put the popularity of its Ka down to the vehicle's cheap running costs, stylish design and fun-to-use nature.
The company issued this statement after revealing more than 500,000 examples of the motor had been sold in the UK.
