Great Ford Econetic Deals
The aim of Ford's engineers in producing the Ford ECOnetic vehicles was to develop the maximum possible reduction in CO2 emissions using technologies available today - this meant looking at drive resistances and aerodynamics.
Vehicles have been lowered to reduce drag, aerodynamics kits have been added, low-resistance tyres introduced and low viscosity transmission oil substituted. The results have been dramatic - a combination of improved aerodynamics, special low-friction oil in the transmission and low-resistance tyres has cut around 12g/km off the emission levels of the conventional Ford Focus model, for example.
