Fiat manifests commitment to roominess
The automaker Fiat has announced details of its new saloon car, which demonstrates the manufacturer's commitment to developing spacious vehicles.Set for its first appraisal by the public at the Istanbul motor show, running between November 2nd and November 12th, the new Fiat Linea is a brand new segment C saloon car.
Although it is not expected to go on sale in Europe before the second half of 2006, the Linea nevertheless highlights the emphasis on space in the Fiat car range.
Measuring 4.6m long, 1.7m wide and 1.5m tall, its designers claim that this new model will be one of the most airy in the segment C saloon class.
Moreover, Fiat enthusiasts may be relieved to hear that the in-car roominess does not come at the expense of storage space; for its latest model, a 500-litre luggage capacity has been worked into the design.
Fiat is an Italian car manufacturer with its headquarters in Turin.
In late September, the company exhibited a 1.9 MultiJet 130 Sporting Grande Punto at the London-based Viva Italia exhibition, which aimed to promote the design innovations made by Italian companies.
