Fiat announces 'fun inventor' shortlist
The five finalists in Fiat's search for the most promising and fun-loving inventor in Britain have been announced.According to the manufacturer, the Smiles per Hour Competition which is looking for clever and amusing new ways to travel has attracted huge interest.
Those people still in with a shout of clinching the £50,000 top prize are Simon Tarrant with his street rower, Nick Rawcliffe with a snowbone, Natalie Daghestani with a female commuter shoe, Steven Spong with a longbow and Harley Zblewski with a suitcase car.
An announcement on the overall winner will be made on September 25th after a further round of judging.
Elena Bernardelli, Fiat UK's marketing director, said: "We have been greatly impressed by the standard of entries and we know it's going to be a tough call for the judges on finals' night."
In other news, the second series of the manufacturer's Grande Punto hit showrooms across the UK this summer.
