Auto 1 Awards see Fiat 500 hailed
Fiat's new city car picked up another prize this week when it gained the Small and Compact Vehicle gong at the Auto 1 Awards. The Fiat 500 had previously been named Car of the Year 2008 before being honoured by Auto 1, prizes determined by readers of Auto Bild Europe magazines group as well as industry experts.
Indeed, racing drivers, organisation editors and officials all had a hand in the voting.
And the Italian motor manufacturer states that with environmentally-friendly options and different trim levels available, the vehicle is great value for money.
"With a starting price of just £7,900 OTR, the new Fiat 500 represents outstanding value for money and positions the car well below its benchmark rivals," commented Fiat.
Last year, artist Tracey Emin designed a special edition Fiat 500 which was later sold at auction for a children's charity.
