Fiat Panda retains city car title
The Fiat Panda picked up yet another award in the 2007 Auto Express New Car Honours when it was named best city car for the fourth successive year. The recognition builds on the success of the Italian carmaker's supermini in the same magazine's Used Car Honours earlier this year, when it was named best small car.
Commenting on the latest success, Auto Express praised the Panda's striking looks, light steering, straightforward controls and lofty driving position.
"The Panda's greatest quality is its sense of fun. Even the entry level versions deliver an entertaining drive, while the recently added 100HP version is one of the best baby GTIs we've driven," it adds.
The supermini, which is available new from £6,995 on the road, won the prestigious outright Car of the Year title in Auto Express's 2007 awards.
Fiat recently launched a new website - featuring a 3D-video showroom, an on-screen car configuration system and a payment planner tool - to showcase its range of cars to British buyers.
