Fiat Panda Dakar 2007 prototype to be exhibited in Birmingham
Motorists will get the chance to see one of the original Fiat Panda Dakar 2007 prototypes first-hand this month, it has been revealed.The model will make an appearance on the Fiat stand of the Autosport Show at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre between January 11th and 14th 2007.
Set to star at the Dakar 2007 rally, which begins in Lisbon on January 6th, one of the two specially-adapted Fiat Panda 4x4s will be driven by former World Rally Championship winner Miki Biasion.
And British enthusiasts will get the chance to see one of the prototype 4x4s that have been tested in the ice landscapes of Lapland, the mountains of the Himalayas and the heat of the African desert.
In related news, the end of last year saw the Italian automaker unveil a new bolder logo, featuring vertically-stretched capital letters spelling out the Fiat name.
The company announced that the new Bravo model would be the first to carry the reworked logo.
