More honours for Fiat
Fiat is celebrating after picking up two more awards to add to its impressive trophy haul for the year.The Fiat Grande Punto has been voted Carro do Ano 2008 by a panel of Brazilian motoring journalists, beating off strong competition from the Citroen C4 to take the prestigious award.
The Italian carmaker also impressed motoring writers in the emerging markets of eastern and central Europe and its Linea saloon finished ahead of the Kia Cee'd at the top of the voting for the Autobest 2008 award.
Autobest's chairman Dan Vardie said: "The new Fiat Linea proved to be an overall winner with an excellent value for money, a very good car for the needs of regular customers."
Fiat has picked up a plethora of awards this year after launching its Fiat 500 city car to rave reviews.
Among the gongs it has collected are Car of the Year 2008, Auto Europa 2008, EuroCarBody 2007 and Fifth Gear Car of the Year.
