Fiat adds to Grande Punto range
Fiat today unveiled the newest addition to its range, the Grande Punto 1.4 T-Jet 120 Sporting. The new model comes with an engine that utilises the latest turbo-charging technology to provide what Fiat describes as "outstanding power and torque but with notably low emissions and fuel consumption".
That translates into 120 bhp, acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 121 mph, all while achieving a combined fuel economy figure of 42.8 mpg and CO2 emissions of 155 g/km.
In addition to sporty performance, Fiat has ensured the latest Grande Punto has a sporty look by giving it 17-inch alloy wheels, sports seats, a chrome tailpipe, a spoiler and sideskirts.
Also fitted as standard is Fiat's innovative Blue & Me voice-activated music and communications system, which was developed in conjunction with Microsoft.
The three-door Grande Punto 1.4 T-Jet 120 Sporting is available for £11,995, while the five-door model has a £12,595 price tag.
The Grande Punto received impressive reviews when it was launched in the UK last year, with What Car? describing it as "attractively priced, well equipped and safe" and Parker's noting that it is a "modern car that's good to drive and has lots of character".
