Revised Astra 'likely to attract new customers into Vauxhall dealerships'

People who would not normally consider paying a visit to their local Vauxhall car dealership may be tempted to do just that when they catch sight of the latest addition to the manufacturer's line up, it has been suggested.

According to the company, the revised Astra is likely to appeal to the kind of motorists who would more typically choose something like the Audi A3.

However, the firm pointed out its offering is significantly cheaper than that of its rival.

Marketing director Andy Gilson said the auto has specifically been designed to encourage different customers into its retail outlets.

"The Astra aims to attract a new group of buyers - those who may never have considered a Vauxhall before," he stated.

Available to order immediately, the updated model should be in UK showrooms by December.

Prices for the car start at £15,675.

Vauxhall previously announced it has already taken orders for the auto from a number of British police forces.
