Citroen's long-awaited first ever SUV, the C-Crosser, has now arrived in British showrooms.
The four-wheel drive C-Crosser is powered by a low emission 2.2-litre HDi diesel engine fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, which produces 40 mpg fuel economy and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in under ten seconds.
As well as impressive performance under the bonnet, it is a practical option as a family 4x4, as it contains a flexible 5+2 seating configuration, which can be arranged to give the boot a massive 1,686 litres of storage capacity.
Safety was also high on the designer's agenda and the C-Crosser comes with six airbags, ABS, ESP and EBD as standard, as well as measures to improve protection of both occupants and pedestrians in the event of a collision.
Style has not been overlooked either and the VTR+ models feature a dashboard with an aluminium-trim, ergonomically designed seats and automatic air conditioning.
The Exclusive trim also adds leather upholstery, 18-inch alloys and a six-CD autochanger, as well as rear parking sensors.
The VTR+ is available for £22,790 on the road, while the Exclusive carries a £25,490 price tag.
Citroen recently won an award for its C4 Picasso, when it was named best MPV at the Auto Express New Car Honours.
