Citroen scoops top prize at GreenFleet Awards
Citroen's environmental efforts have been recognised at the GreenFleet awards.The French car manufacturer picked up the Car Manufacturer of the Year gong at the bash, beating off Toyota and Honda, who finished as runners-up.
In the LCV Manufacturer of the Year and Green Marketing Campaign categories, the company enjoyed slightly less success, but finished runner-up.
Across the UK, the firm's green credentials have resulted in three out of the top ten eco-friendly vehicles on the road being Citroens.
"Today the company offers one of the most fuel efficient and lowest CO2-emitting product ranges around - over 40 per cent of the company's sales are diesel, with ultra-clean Diesel Particulate Filter Systems widely available," said the body.
This week the firm will unveil the C-Cactus at the Frankfurt International Motor Show - a vehicle which further espouses the company's green vision.
