Citroen has announced it is to unveil the C4 Picasso compact MPV at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The French firm said that the new seven-seat model will fit into its range between the full-sized C8 and the Berlingo Multispace, alongside the Xsara Picasso with five seats which Citroen said will continue on sale "for many years to come".
Boasting the largest sunroof in its sector, the C4 Picasso will also feature a panoramic windscreen giving superb visibility.
Furthermore, the car features automatic four-zone climate control, a parking space measurement system, an automatic electric parking brake, ambient interior lighting, air suspension to the rear, a removable boot light/torch, DVD player and video screens.
Citroen also said that the second and third row seats can be folded down to create more space without need to remove the headrests, and delivering up to 1,951 litres of total load space.
However, additional storage space can be created via the clever flip-up/slide function of the middle row of seats the C4 Picasso boasts 576 litres of space underneath the parcel shelf.
Meanwhile the rear window can be opened separately, while the raised or lowered easily at the press of a button to help loading and unloading of heavy items.
Initially the C4 Picasso will feature either the 143bhp 2.0 petrol engine or 138bhp 2.0 HDI diesel, with the new six-speed electronic clutchless gearbox optional.
