Citroen is to unveil its innovative -Buggy off-road concept car at the Madrid International Motor Show this month, showcasing its futuristic, go-anywhere appeal. The C-Buggy is marketed at a predominantly youthful crowd, as the absence of a roof, windows or a windscreen add to its quirky charm. Powered by Citroen's new 173BHP HDi diesel engine, which also powers the Citroen C5, the introduction of a parallel dual turbo and new combustion and injection systems ensure high standards of driveability, flexibility and fuel consumption, while confirming its off-road credentials. And with glass door portholes, big wheels, wide wheel arches and sump guard, the C-Buggy is most certainly prepared for those off-road adventures. Furthermore, a new six-speed gearbox, also in the C4, combining electro-hydraulic gearbox control for jerkless gear changing guarantee a smooth ride. Citroen also said that the new gearbox boasts greater fuel economy, offering motorists a cheaper cleaner drive. Meanwhile, Citroen plans to unveil its latest C4 Hybrid HDi demonstration vehicle and fuel saving and emissions reducing C2 Stop & Start plus.
