Citroen C5 to feature automatic transmission
The hassle of having to change gears could become a thing of the past for C5 owners after Citroen announced it was introducing an automatic transmission into the range.Although the 2.2-litre HDi C5 is already available in Citroen car dealerships across the UK in manual, the French automaker has now added an automatic variation that can achieve 39 miles to the gallon.
Moreover, prospective buyers may be interested to hear that the latest addition to the range can accelerate to 62 mph in 9.5 seconds before top-ending at 138 mph.
Drivers who opt for the C5, however, can be assured that the model will still come with seven airbags, traction control and digital air conditioning as standard.
At present, the French automaker is also offering complimentary car insurance cover to new buyers of the C2.
Motorists aged over 19 years old can receive free insurance protection for 12 months if they purchase the 1.1-litre petrol variant of the C2 Furio.
