Citroen C4 Picasso's spaciousness highlighted

Citroen has highlighted the spaciousness offered by its forthcoming C4 Picasso multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

The C4 Picasso is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2007 and will sit alongside the Xsara Picasso, the Grand C4 Picasso and the C8 people carrier as part of the largest MPV line-up in the history of the French automaker.

And despite being a compact five-seater MPV, Citroen claims that its latest model will not sacrifice on storage capacity.

To underline the point, the automaker claims that it offers a maximum of 500 litres of boot space with all five seats in position.

However, this can be boosted to 1,734 litres of space when the three full-size rear seats are folded down flat, which may be of interest to parents looking to transport their child's belongings to and from university each term.

Last week, Brand Republic reported plans for a new promotional drive to support the new C4 Picasso.

In addition to press and internet advertising, the French automaker apparently also plans to unveil an interactive TV campaign that gives red-button users the chance to enjoy the C4 Picasso experience from the comfort of their own sofa.
