Citroen C4 Picasso experience to be sampled by iTV users

Citroen is planning to give interactive TV users (iTV) a taste of what it is like to drive the C4 Picasso as part of a forthcoming promotional campaign, according to a report.

The promotional campaign, which is set to appear on January 15th 2007 to coincide with the vehicle's UK launch date, will invite iTV viewers to press the red button on their remote control, reports Brand Republic.

Those who do so will be transported into a virtual driving simulator that replicates the experience of driving the model, replete with all the distinctive features of the multi-purpose vehicle.

It is an initiative that forms part of a national advertising campaign for the French automaker's new model, which is set to incorporate press ads, billboard posters, internet promotions and cinema slots.

Last month, Citroen UK's managing director Xavier Duchemin sought to explain what UK motorists would experience when the C4 Picasso finally arrived in Citroen car dealerships.

"Customers looking for a new compact MPV offering unprecedented levels of safety and practicality…will find that the new Picasso is hard to beat," he said.
