Citroen has offered to provide complimentary car insurance protection to new customers in a bid to boost interest in the C2.
From now until July 31st 2007, motorists who opt for the supermini will be entitled to receive free car insurance cover for the first 12 months of ownership.
However, the types of car that qualify for the free insurance package are reduced in line with the age of the buyer.
So, for example, 19 and 20-year-olds are restricted to the 1.1-litre petrol version of the C2 Furio, while those between the ages of 21 and 24 can either choose this or the 1.4-litre petrol and diesel Furios.
The VTS, Code, VTR and By Loeb trims are only available to motorists aged 25 and over.
The insurance deal can be arranged now at participating Citroen car dealerships across the UK.
Once on the Citroen forecourt, car enthusiasts may also decide to take the opportunity to test-drive some of the brand's higher-powered vehicles such as the C3, the C4 and the C4 Picasso.
