Citroen's C1 GT reviewed

Citroen's new C1 GT model has been reviewed by an automotive magazine, which emphasises its sporty characteristics.

Created by Italian designer Franco Sbarro, the C1 GT can reportedly reach top speeds in excess of 130 mph, reports Auto Express.

The model's car engine is actually taken from the more powerful C2 VTR's 1.6-litre engine, while the new supermini has also sought to streamline the C1's external bodywork.

Commenting on the vehicle, reviewer James Foxall said: "The changes are more than just cosmetic, with a huge air intake at the front used to extract maximum pace from the 125 bhp engine.

"Traditional doors have been replaced by gullwings, while the sill has been raised to ensure the GT remains as stiff as possible."

The Citroen C1 GT is an update of the existing C1 model.

Competing in the supermini market, the original Citroen C1's dimensions are 3m 43cm long by 1m 41cm wide and the model is available in both three and five-door versions.
