Citroen C1 praised for safety provision

The Citroen C1 model range has been praised for its emphasis on safety in a recent automotive review.

In a road test for the motoring magazine Auto Trader, reviewer Stuart Milne pointed out that the C1 supermini comes with a range of safety features as standard.

For instance, the vehicle includes anti-lock brakes, cornering stability control and an electronic stability programme on the basic model.

Meanwhile, the C1 also features airbags on both the driver and passenger sides, with the range-topping C1 Rhythm bringing in front side airbags as well.

Awarding the vehicle eight out of ten for safety, Mr Milne said: "The C1 might be a bargain basement supermini, but there's not much evidence of cut corners."

"You can't fault the level of kit for the price."

The C1 city car is currently available from a range of Citroen car dealerships, along with larger relatives such as the C2, the C3, the C4 and the C5.
