Citroen Berlingo Multispace named top MPV
Citroen has just scooped two awards in 4x4 & MPV Driver magazine's 2009 honours.The Berlingo Multispace was named MPV of the Year and the manufacturer's design study - Hypnos - drove away with the title of Best Concept Car.
Commenting on the Berlingo Multispace, the judges said they had been particularly impressed with the vehicle's modular layout, comfort, refined styling and value for money.
Bob Murray, editor of 4x4 & MPV Driver magazine, described it as "all the family car most families will ever need".
He added: "What the original Berlingo Multispace started back in 1998, the new version builds on in every way."
Meanwhile, when asked about the Hypnos, Mr Murray said it simply shouted out "drive me", adding it was a "62 mpg stunner".
It would appear Autocar Magazine would agree with this verdict, as it named the same vehicle Concept Car of the Year as well.
