Chevrolet to unveil Aveo next month
Chevrolet has announced it will unveil its new Aveo supermini at next month's Frankfurt International Motor Show.The Aveo is to usher in a new era in the styling of Chevrolet's small cars, according to the American carmaker.
Outside it is "dramatically styled", with features including a split radiator grille, curved clear glass headlamps and "futuristic" rear glass lamp lenses.
Inside it benefits from soft-touch plastics and improved fabrics, which help to create what Chevrolet describes as "new levels of interior build quality".
Three versions of the Aveo will be available when it goes on sale next spring - 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre engined manuals and a 1.4 with automatic transmission.
Chevrolet has enjoyed strong growth in Europe in recent times and reported its best ever six-month sales figures for the continent in the first half of this year.
It sold 217,679 units Europe-wide, while UK sales increased by 29 per cent to 9,156 vehicles.
