New Renault Clio “Va Va Voom” ad receives honour

Renault picked up the accolade for Best Manufacturer Marketing Initiative this month at the award ceremony hosted by Car Dealer magazine.
The viral adverts by Renault not only amassed four million views on YouTube but also impressed dealers in the UK. Comments about the video campaign included “It’s just the type of thing we used to see Renault doing” and another describing it as “clever, funny and memorable – what’s not to like?”
The newest “Va Va Voom” video campaign, promoting the latest Renault Clio supermini, comprises of two minute films. These promotional videos feature unsuspecting drivers receive a sexy surprise upon pressing a fictitious Va Va Voom button on the car’s dash.
The editor of Car Dealer, James Batchelor, commented: “Renault should be rightly pleased with this award. Their Va Va Voom campaign is sharp and amusing and it’s a clear sign that Renault is back to its old ways in producing memorable adverts.”
Batchelor added: “The Car Dealer Power Awards are unique in the industry and give dealers a chance to tell it like it really is. More than 2,500 dealers voted – it’s the most conclusive picture of what dealers in this country think.
