From its launch there will be both the standard hatchback version of the C1 available as well as a version with a retractable soft-top roof called C1 Airscape.
There are also three trim levels, two of which are available for Airscape models. The new Citroen C1 range shares virtually all of its components with the new Peugeot 108 city car, which goes on sale from the 1st July. The range starts with the C1 ‘Touch’ hatchback, which includes electric front windows, LED daytime running lights and an audio system which supports MP3 players and has a USB socket.
The Touch trim is only available on the hard-top three-door hatchback version of the C1. The C1 Airscape starts with the car’s mid-range trim which is called ‘Feel’. Customers who choose this particular trim level will benefit from air conditioning, a DAB digital radio and a Touch Drive interface with a seven-inch screen.
Feel-trim derivatives of the C1 start at £9,495 for the standard hatchback, or £9,895 when picking the five-door hatchback.
The cheapest soft-top model in the new C1 range, the Airscape ‘Feel’ VTi 68 manual three-door, is priced from £10,345.
Topping the new C1′s trim levels is ‘Flair’ which starts from £10,185 on the hatchback. It adds 15-inch alloy wheels, a reverse parking camera, dark tinted rear windows and a leather steering wheel.
Pricing for the new Citroen C1 can go all the way up to £11,935 for the Airscape ‘Flair’ VTi 68 ETG five-door specification.
Meanwhile the list of optional equipment available for the new Citroen C1 features metallic paint for £495 and a space saver spare wheel for £70.
When choosing the C1 hatchback in the top Flair trim, buyers can add the Automatic Pack Plus for £570. This adds automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights and keyless entry and start functionalities.
Buyers of the C1 Airspace in Flair trim can add a similar option pack, which costs just £270 but doesn’t include the keyless functions.
The basic engine option available with all C1 trims is a 68bhp 1.0-litre VTi petrol engine, which can be linked with a five-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The automatic gearbox is only available with Flair trim C1 cars.
The Flair trim also offers two other engines for the new C1. They include a more frugal 68bhp 1.0-litre e-VTi petrol unit, and an 82bhp 1.2-litre petrol unit.
The 1.2-litre engine, available with a five-speed manual gearbox only, returns an official fuel consumption figure of 65mpg in the C1 and CO2 emissions of just 99g/km.
