So what can you expect from the show? We’ve rounded up all the latest news and speculation right here.
Ford
The next generation of genuine small car royalty will be revealed when the Ford Focus hatchback and estate is unveiled. The latest generation of the small family car continues to the kinetic design language of other Ford cars and adds a host of new interior and engine upgrades.
Now available with EcoBoost petrol engines and Ford’s most powerful Duratorq diesel ever (complete with reduced emissions), the Ford Focus is all set to continue its success at the top of the UK sales charts.
It also paves the way for the extremely exciting Ford Focus Electric, one of the first models in Ford’s electric range and due to arrive in the UK by 2012.
Alongside the Focus, Ford has hinted there will be a performance version – widely regarded to be a new Focus ST.
Chevrolet
Chevrolet has promised no less than four new models at the Paris Motor Show as its assault on Europe continues unabated.
These include the new Orlando MPV – the first MPV from the manufacturer to be sold in Europe and featuring a ‘two-box’ design.
Also expected to appear at the Chevrolet stand is the new Aveo and the iconic Camaro muscle car, both preparing for their eagerly awaited UK debuts.
Mazda
Mazda is sure to be busy at the show, with upgraded and updated Mazda2 and Mazda3 city cars and the all-new Mazda5 MPV – the only production model to feature the flowing, wave-like Nagare design language.
Citroen
The Citroen C4, the car recently awarded a top five-star EuroNCAP rating, will be showcased at the Citroen stand, and we’ll be interested to see the Survolt electric race car up close.
Renault
The Paris Motor Show will play host to French manufacturer Renault revealing its evocative, stylish new design language in the form of the stunning DeZir electric sports car concept.
With head-turning styling and a low, sporty profile, the DeZir signals a new era for Renault, which has steadily been building a reputation for attractive vehicles such as the Megane Coupe-Cabriolet and Wind roadster.
Others
There are plenty of other exciting prospects at the show, including Vauxhall’s GTC Paris concept – a model specially designed to suit the Paris aura and the futuristic three-seat Kia Pop electric concept.
We’ll keep you updated on all the breaking news leading up to the show, and feel free to send us your views on all the new models set to be unveiled in Paris.
