A healthcare company has decided to use fuel efficient cars in order to help improve its carbon footprint.
Egton Medical Information Systems (EMIS) has turned to Citroen C4 1.6HDi 90hp VTR hatchbacks as its range of eco-friendly cars for business.
The motors have a combined fuel efficiency of 115 g/km and an "exceptional" 64.2 mpg combined cycle fuel economy, according to the manufacturer.
EMIS which has bought vehicles from the manufacturer for 18 years - is taking delivery of 30 of the green cars and look set to purchase 75 this year, most of which should be the C4 1.6HDi 90hp VTR hatchbacks.
However, some of the motors will be Citroen C5 1.6HDi 110hp VTR saloons.
Rachel McLaughlan, fleet manager for the healthcare firm, said the organisation is committed to reducing the fuel efficiency of its company vehicles and decreasing CO2 emissions.
She added: "The latest C4 hatchbacks and C5 saloons we are now ordering meet our increasingly stringent environmental and financial targets with even lowering CO2 emissions and better fuel economy."
The Yorkshire-based organisation has more than 300 Citroen cars, which it keeps for a four-year 100,000-mile service life.
Moreover, the C4 range from the manufacturer is described as a car that "has it all".
Citroen said: "There really is no equivalent when it comes to this car's seductive balance of advanced technology, refreshing style and pure driveability. Its message is clear from the outset it's all about extra helpings of enjoyment, elegance, comfort and safety."
Everything about the motor is "intuitive", the producer stated. The models range from petrol or diesel and a user can purchase one with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
For comfort seekers the seats are "fully adjustable" and the steering wheel height can also be altered, which could be useful for people on a long drive.
