Alfa Romeo GT Coupe 'pushed to new heights'
Autodelta has formally lifted the lid on what it claims is the most powerful version of the Alfa Romeo GT Coupe ever created.In news that may appeal to many sports car enthusiasts, the Alfa Romeo performance optimisation specialist has tinkered with the GT Coupe to create the Autodelta GT 3.7 Super.
Among its characteristics, the supercharged new motor is reportedly capable of accelerating from a standing start to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, before powering on to an overall top speed of 182 mph.
Commenting on the revamped model, Jano Djelalian, managing director of Autodelta, explained that its mechanics were always confident they could find ways to refine the performance of the sports car.
"We have a vast experience with the chassis of this car and knew it was more than capable of handling the serious power and torque increases that would result from this project," he said.
Last month, Alfa Romeo launched a limited-edition of the model, entitled the Alfa GT Blackline, which boasts jet black metallic paint and an interior sports styling kit.
