Alfa Romeo GT Blackline 'aims for sporty market'
Alfa Romeo has sought to underline the sporty characteristics of the GT with a new limited edition model.The Alfa Romeo GT Blackline is built around either a 1.9-litre diesel engine or a 2.0-litre petrol motor, with the latter capable of powering the car from a stationary position to 62 mph in 8.7 seconds.
Moreover, the petrol model is apparently able to hit top speeds of 134 mph on an open road.
And the racy theme is continued by the decor of the new Blackline which, unsurprisingly, comes with a striking metallic black paintjob.
Elsewhere on the exterior, the model boasts a chrome exhaust pipe and 18-ins alloy wheels while inside the vehicle there are black leather sports seats with red stitching and aluminium sports pedals.
Founded in Italy, the automotive marque has had a longstanding association with racing competitions.
To date, the company's vehicles have appeared in Formula 1, rally car and touring car races.
