A new high-performance version of the Alfa Romeo 147 will get its first formal outing this weekend.
The 422 bhp Autodelta 147 GTA AM 3.7 Super has been developed by Alfa Romeo optimisation specialist Autodelta and will make an appearance at Italian car showpiece SpaItalia on June 2nd and 3rd 2007.
The event takes place at the Spa-Francorchamps grand prix track in Belgium and visitors will be able to see the model alongside a host of other Alfa Romeo vehicles that have been rebuilt by Autodelta.
Jano Djelalian, managing director of Autodelta, has attempted to whet the appetite of Alfa Romeo afficanados by labelling the new 147 as "our most extreme project yet".
"We always are keen to show our cars in the conditions they are designed for so putting this car on track at Spa is the perfect official introduction," he added.
Last month, Autodelata unveiled a new version of the Alfa Romeo GT Coupe.
The Autodelta GT 3.7 Super is reportedly capable of accelerating from a standstill to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds before maxing out at 182 mph.
